Hugo Parker Wins $63,000,000 Jury Trial!

Edward R. Hugo, Bina Ghanaat and Alex G. Taheri defended the firm’s automotive retailer client in a wrongful death mesothelioma jury trial in the Alameda County Superior Court. Decedent claimed that he was exposed to asbestos while employed as a pipe fitter/welder and while performing home automobile repair work for himself and his family. Plaintiffs claimed that decedent’s exposure to asbestos caused his malignancy and asked the jury to award $63 million in non-economic damages. The jury returned a complete defense verdict.
