Edward Hugo, Bina Ghanaat and Alex Tahari began the firm’s second virtual trial in Alameda County on September 25, 2020. Plaintiff claimed that his Peritoneal Mesothelioma was caused by exposure to Johnson & Johnson’s talcum powder and automotive brakes. During their case in chief, plaintiff’s counsel moved for mistrial, claiming that their client’s health had deteriorated to the point that he could not meaningfully assist counsel. The motion was granted on November 2, 2020.
