Favorable Settlement During Trial Leads To Favorable Review For Trial Attorney
Judges rarely comment on the trial skills of the attorneys who appear before them. But, in memorializing a settlement on the record, Edward Hugo received an unsolicited review:
MR. HUGO, YOU LOOK LIKE AN EXCEPTIONALLY EXPERIENCED ATTORNEY. I’M SURE YOU’VE TRIED LOTS OF JURY TRIALS.
I DON’T — I’M NOT LOOKING AT YOUR STATE BAR NUMBER ON A PLEADINGS, BUT IT SEEMS TO ME, FROM OBSERVING YOU IN COURT, YOU ARE A VERY EXPERIENCED ATTORNEY.
