Edward Hugo, partner of Hugo Parker in San Fransisco, California, was selected to speak at the 2010 Spring Conference and Induction of Fellows for the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA) on May 6-7 in Monterey, California.

Mr. Hugo specializes in the defense of products liability, personal injury, toxic tort and environmental actions.  Prior to Hugo Parker, he was a name partner at Pond, North & Hugo PC, which later merged with the law firm of Burke Williams & Sorenson, where he was a litigation partner.  He gained his initial trial experience as a criminal prosecutor with the San Francisco District Attorney's office.  He left that office as a senior trial attorney after trying more than 115 cases (he was undefeated in all Superior Court jury and bench trials).  Mr. Hugo received his B.A. in Economics from the University of California - Berkeley in 1982 and received his J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of Law in 1986 where he was a member of the National Moot Court Team.

Mr. Hugo's presentation was made to Fellows of the LCA, a trial lawyer honorary society which represents less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Edward Hugo is a Fellow of the LCA.

Fellowship in the Litigation Counsel of America is highly selective and by invitation only. Fellows are carefully selected based upon evaluations of excellence, effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation, and superior ethical reputation. The LCA seeks a high level of diversity in its composition and includes Women's and Diversity Initiatives.  Established as a trial and appellate lawyer honorary society reflecting the American bar in the twenty-first century, the LCA represents the best in law among its membership.
