Explore Preah Khan

Preah Khan, meaning “sacred sword”, is a monastic complex that was built in the late 12th century and served as a Buddhist monastery and school.  It also briefly served as the residence of King Jayavarman VII and is located just north of Angkor Thom in the Angkor Archaeological Park.
